When picking up the keys you must have a receipt with you. Please check the opening times of the key suppliers in advance.
Keys should be returned at the same place where you have fetched them.
Facilities
Candle light, iron stove which is also the heater, gas stove. A dry toilet and a woodshed outside the hut. There is no sauna or boat. Please note that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm.

Take own candles, toilet paper and headlamp with you.
The water in the area is usually safe to drink, but we recommend to boil it before using just in case.
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi, Pallastunturi and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking without Littering.
Notices
It is 36 km from Jogasjärvi to Kilpisjärvi village. There is a shop, a fuel distribution point and restaurants. Kilpisjärvi Visitor Centre is open during the peak season from March to September. It is 200 km to Hetta village, the centre of the municipality of Enontekiö. In Hetta there is an airport, Fell Lapland Visitor Centre and other services.
Norkalott Trail goes about 7 km west from the Jogasjärvi rental hut. It is possible to have a snowmobile transport to the hut.
Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.
Fishing Area
When fishing in the rivers, you have to pay National fisheries management fee (eraluvat.fi) as well as a municipality of Enontekiö permit no 1551 (eraluvat.fi). When fishing at Lätäseno you must have a Lätäseno fishing area permit no 1550 (eraluvat.fi). This permit gives you right to fish at Poroeno, too. Fishing permits are sold by the customer service points of Metsähallitus as well as local tourist enterprisers.
