The wilderness hut is situated at the Sallivaara reindeer round-up site on the northwest side of road 955 (Inari - Kittilä).

This log cabin is known as Poliisien kämppä (polices' cabin). There is a tent site and a campfire site close to the wilderness hut.

  • A wood-burning stove and a gas cooker.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
