The hut is located on the north shore of the five-kilometre-long Lake Termisjärvi (Dierpmesjávri), on the west side of a stream which runs into the lake from Salmikuru Ravine. There is no marked summer trail to the hut. Termisvaara (Dierpmesvárri), which is Finland's southernmost fell over 1,000 metres high, is located south of the lake. The hut is meant for skiers and hikers only. The hut is approximately 15 km from Kilpisjärvi.

The wilderness hut is situated on the north shore of Lake Termisjärvi on the west side of a stream which runs into the lake from Salmikuru Ravine.

Price and Keys

16,50 € / night / person (incl. VAT 10%).

The key is in the coded key box on the wall of the hut. Instructions and code will be sent when booking.

Facilities

A stove and a gas cooker. Basic cookware (pot, frying pan, coffee pot). Bunk beds with mattresses, pillows and blankets. A dry toilet and a woodshed outside the hut. Please note that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm.

Notices

Pets are not permitted in the hut.

The Termisjärvi Reservable Wilderness Hut is meant for skiers and hikers only.

The building also houses an open wilderness hut for 8 persons.

Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.

Waste Managemen

Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi, Pallastunturi and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking without Littering.
