Opening Hours in 2024

Petola is open for groups by pre-order. Please contact our customer service.

In the summer of 2024 Petola is open to everyone from July 1. to 26. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cafe is also open in July 2024. The Cafe offers e.g. fresh donuts and ice cream!

The visitor centre is located along road no. 912 running from Kuhmo to Suomussalmi, roughly 3 km from the centre of Kuhmo.

There are only few connections of public transport to the Petola Visitor Centre. Coaches operating between Kuhmo and Suomussalmi bypass Petola (matkahuolto.fi).
