The boating base is situated on the northwestern shore of Hoikka Petäjäsaari Island in Lake Inari.
The boating base can be used in winter too.

Facilities
A wood-burning stove and a gas cooker and a water bucket in a campfire hut, in a cooking shelter there is a gas cooker and a table-benches. A pier, a dry toilet, a firewood shelter and a campfire site.
- There is a open wilderness hut in the vicinity of the boating base.
Notices
Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
There is a recycling point at the campfire hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
