Ristinpelto

Ristinpelto is a small-scale cemetery, used at the end of the Iron Age and the early Middle Ages. The remains of a building, possibly a chapel or a belfry, have been found at the centre of the area. Ristinpelto – the Field of the Cross – is named after the large wooden cross erected on-site and repeatedly renewed throughout the ages.
