Rental hut, facilities for school camps, 22 persons, 93 m², 3 rooms and a kitchen.
There are 12 beds in the main room, 4 in each bedroom and 2 in the kitchen.

The Uitonkämppä rental hut is ideal for school and college groups, nature associations and clubs, and for nature-themed courses and instruction.
Uitto, an old log floaters' cabin, was renovated in the early 1990s.

Keys
Keys to the Uitonkämppä rental hut will be placed in the key box next to the door of the hut. A 4-digit key combination for opening the key box will be sent to you attached to your reservation confirmation. Leave the keys in the same key box when you leave after your stay.
Leave the keys in the same key box when you leave after your stay. The key to the boat at Sammakkojärven sahi is in the key box on the wall of the equipment shelter nearby. The key combination is the same as for the Uitonkämppä rental hut.
Directions
By Foot, Canoe or Rowing Boat
The Uitonkämppä rental hut is situated in the middle of Tiilikkajärvi National Park. Parking areas can be found at the Sammakkotammi information point and at Cape Pohjoisniemi.
- The distance from the hut to the Sammakkotammi parking area (Valtimontie 1095) is 3 km, on foot or by canoe or rowing boat.
- The distance from the hut to the Pohjoisniemi parking area is approximately 7 km on foot.
By Car
There are signposts Sammakkotammi Parking for those coming by car from road 18 and road 87. There are signposts to Pohjoisniemi parking area at the intersection of road 870 and Pohjoisniementie Road.
By Public Transportation
The closest bus station is in Rautavaara 15 km from the National Park.
Facilities
- Bunk beds (mattrasses, pillows and quilts for 9 persons, no bedlinen or towels provided). Bring your own sleeping bag.
- Solar panel powered lights and 12V charging facility (a cigarette lighter socket).
- A gas stove (with a small oven) and a gas refrigerator.
- A selection of cooking utensils, such as pots, pans, baking dishes, mixing bowls, measures, ladles, knives.
- Cutlery and utensils, such as various plates, mugs, glasses, forks, knives and spoons.
- Fireplace in the hut, cooking stove in the kitchen and a fireplace in the small room next to kitchen.
- Please note that spices, candles, fire-making equipment and toilet paper are not included.
- There are cleaning tools and detergents in the cabin.
In the Yard - A sauna, a dry toilet and a jetty.
- A drinking water well. The quality of water does fill the requirements set for the household water (2022). You don't need to boil the water before use.
- There is a rowing boat by the hut and the other one by Sammakkojärven sahi (500m away from Sammakkotammi towards Uitto) for transporting your belongings.
- The locked firewood shed in the outbuilding of the hut includes a waste sorting point and chopped firewood for tenants of the hut.
Notices
There are no accessible services in the hut.
The Uitonkämppä courtyard intersects the Tiilikan kierto Trail, so you might meet other visitors around in the courtyard. The Uitonkämppä campfire site and compost toilet are available to all visitors, but camping in the hut courtyard is forbidden.
Pets are allowed in the main room but not in the kitchen and the bedroom next to the kitchen.

If you have an emergency during your trip, such as getting lost, injured or finding a wildfire, call 112. Read more detailed emergency instructions.
Download the 112 Finland application (112.fi) to your phone. When an emergency call is made through the 112 Finland application, the emergency centre attendant is automatically informed of the caller's location.
It is recommended to keep the mobile phone warm and to bring extra food and water with you. There are many excursion locations with no mobile coverage and some mobile phones does not work in sub-zero temperatures, that is why it is always a good idea to let someone know about your itinerary and timetable.
