Meals, Where to Buy and Prepare
Cáfe
Cafe Konkelo's (cafekonkelo.com, in finnish) crepe café is located near the Sammakkotammi parking area. The café is open between June and August 2022 Tue-Sat from 10 am to 5 pm. Weather reservation. From the café you can buy crepes, coffee, sandwiches and juice boxes. Groups by prior arrangement. Please double check the opening hours from the cafe's own website.
Campfire Sites
The park's campfire sites are located:
- At Sammakkotammi
- At Uitonkämppä Rental Hut
- At Koirakivi rock
- At Koseva and Venäjänhiekka camping sites
- Campfires are not allowed while a wildfire warning is in effect. Check the current warnings (ilmatieteenlaitos.fi).
- This ban does not apply to the stove in the Koseva open wilderness hut.
Drinking Water
- A well can be found on the grounds of Uitonkämppä rental hut, but the quality of water doesn't fill the requirements set for the household water (Set on July 2021). The latest water quality raport can be found next to the well.
- Surface waters, like that in lakes, rivers and streams should be boiled, before drinking it as water quality varies from one area to another.
Waste Management
- There are no waste-bins in the National Park. Measures should be taken in advance to avoid taking unnecessary waste into the area. Take all other waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking without Littering.
- Dry toilets in the area serve as composters and by campfire sites there are instructions about what wastes can be burned.

Overnight Stays
Camping
Tiilikkajärvi National Park has two camping sites:
- Venäjänhiekka camping site at Venäjänhiekka Beach.
- Koseva camping site in the centre of Cape Pohjoisniemi.
Open Wildernesshut
Koseva (2 persons). The open wilderness hut is located by Lake Tiilikka about midway along the southern shore of Pohjoisniemi headland which stretches far into the lake. Distance is 2 km from Pohjoisniemi parking.
Rental Hut
Uitonkämppä rental hut is intended for summer time use of organised group outdoor tours. It is situated in the centre of Tiilikkajärvi National Park, 3,5 km from Sammakkotammi parking area.
Where to Wash
The sauna at Uitonkämppä is included in the rent.
Services for the Disabled
There are no special services for the disabled in the area.

The closest shops, banks, petrol stations and other services can be found in the municipality centre of Rautavaara (rautavaara.fi, in Finnish), which is 15 km from Tiilikkajärvi National Park.
