Lojukoski, Rental Campfire Hut
No more reservations can be made for 2024. Exceptionally, reservations for 2025 will only open on 26 November 2024 at 9 a.m. at Eraluvat.fi
Campfire hut, 50 m2, seats 25-30 people, space on the floor and benches for about 10 people to stay overnight.
The Lojukoski kota is located on the lakeshore of lake Tervajärvi. A spacious campfire hut is suitable for accommodating small groups or serving as a base camp for larger groups. The yard, enclosed by fences, features its own campfire site and is exclusively for the use of renters. Two hiking trails, the Kaakkurinkierros trail and the Koppelonkierros trail, as well as mountain biking trail pass nearby this campfire hut.

Rental time 14:00–12:00.
Keys
Keys to the rental campfire hut will be placed in the key box next to the door of the hut. A 4-digit key combination for opening the key box will be sent to you attached to your reservation confirmation. Leave the keys in the same key box when you leave after your stay.
The hut door goes into the lock automatically. Remember to keep the key with you all the time!

By Car
Nearest parking areas are Saarijärvi and Tervajärvi. There’s no road access with any motor vehicle to the Lojukoski kota.
Saarijärvi parking area (approximately 3 kms to Lojukoski), Kuismantie 990, Kouvola (Road 368). Space for approximately 60 cars. During the winter maintenance period, the parking area is smaller.
Tervajärvi parking area (approximately 3,5 kms to Lojukoski), Kivisilmäntie 720, Kouvola. Space for approximately 45 cars. During the winter maintenance period, the parking area is smaller.
Facilities
A wood-heated stove in the hut.
Broad benches by the walls, wooden floor.
Locked woodshed, firewood and an axe.
A dry toilet (not-composting).
Campfire site and a picnic table.
Pots and pans for stove and for campfire.
Drinking water well is located right next to the yard.
Notices
The Lojukoski campfire hut is located right next to the Pahkajärvi army shooting and practice area. A permit is required if going into this area. Unauthorized hikers are caught and always get fined. The restricted area is established for safety purposes only and the area may contain for excample unexploded munitions. The borders of restricted area are marked on the map with red color and with white-blue paint marks in the terrain.
There is no electricity or lightning.
Dishwashing liquid, spices, candles, fire-making equipment and toilet paper are not included.
Please note that it takes plenty of time and wood before the hut is properly warm in winter. The stove also cools down quickly.
The hut must always be cleaned after use.
Dogs and other pets are welcome to this campfire hut. Always keep your pets on leash in national parks.
Smoking is prohibited in the hut.
There are no waste-bins or recycling points in the park or parking areas. Make sure you leave no litter or other traces of your visit.
Biodegradable waste can not be placed into the chemical toilets.
Small amounts of clean paper and cardboard can be used as kindling in a campfire. Take all other waste out of the area.

Lighting campfires is prohibited if wildfire warning is in effect.
There is a public campfire spot near the grounds. Lojukoski is also a popular camping site.

If you have an emergency during your trip, such as getting lost, injured or finding a wildfire, call 112. Read more detailed emergency instructions.
Download the 112 Finland application (112.fi) to your phone. When an emergency call is made through the 112 Finland application, the emergency centre attendant is automatically informed of the caller's location.
It is recommended to keep the mobile phone warm and to bring extra food and water with you. There are many excursion locations with no mobile coverage and some mobile phones does not work in sub-zero temperatures, that is why it is always a good idea to let someone know about your itinerary and timetable.
Outdoor Etiquette

3. Camp only where it is allowed.
4. Light your campfire only where it is allowed.
