Pecsuálui / Petäjäsaari Open Wilderness Hut

The hut is situated on the northwestern shore of Hoikka Petäjäsaari Island in Lake Inari.

The hut can be used in winter and is in excellent condition.

Facilities

  • A wood-burning stove and a gas cooker.
  • A pier, but no official swimming spot.
  • There is a boating base with a campfire shelter and a covered outdoor cooking spot in the vicinity of the hut.

Notices

  • Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
  • There is a campfire shelter nearby.
  • The hut was renovated in the summer of 2008.
  • Safety on hiking.
  • There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
