Kutujärvi cabin was previously used as a haymakers' resting place. It was renovated in 2007 and it is now used as an open wilderness hut.

The cabin is located next to Kutujärvi Mire, on the western side of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, north of Kukastunturi Fell. The cabin is near the Ylläs – Pallas Trail.

Facilities

A stove, a dry toilet and a wood shed.

Notices

There are carvings made by old workers and reindeer herders on the hut walls.

Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.

Safety on hiking

Waste Management

There are no waste management services at the hut. The goal of the National Park is to be a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas, Pallastunturi Visitor Centre and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering
