The open wilderness hut is situated on the north bank of the River Ivalojoki about 7 km west of the River Sotajoki's mouth, about 100 metres downstream from the Kultala museum cabin.

The wilderness hut was built in 1996.

Facilities

A wood-burning stove and a gas stove.

Notices

Pets are allowed in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
There is a rental hut in the same building.
Safety on hiking.
There are waste bins at the wilderness hut, but we ask that hikers bring their own litter out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
