An old fire guard's hut, that was used as a day trip hut, but is now closed due to poor condition. Near the trail that leads to the fell, along the snowmobile trail, there is an open campfire hut for resting and making fire.
Location, Maps and Description
Western Lapland Region, Municipality of Kittilä
Please, notice, that the old trail from the west side of the fell runs through private lands. Do not use that trail.

Drive 1 km along the road and turn right (there is no sign). Drive 16 km, until snowmobile trail crosses the road and there is a sign 'Kumputunturi 4 km' to the left.
There is an old trail which sets off to Palkaskuru, from where the trail climbs on top of the Kumputunturi Fell. The trail is not marked.
