Kyläjoki Day-use Hut

Kyläjoki tupa, coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 68° 26.4436' lon: 26° 33.0690' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 7592069 E: 481593.
The hut is located on the south side of the River Ivalojoki upstream from the mouth of the River Kyläjoki on the south bank.
A part of the film "Gold Fever in Lapland" was filmed at the point where the Rivers Kyläjoki and Ivalojoki meet. All the props have been cleared away except this hut which is fashioned for the 1800s.
Facilities
A wood-burning stove.
Notices
- Pets are allowed in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
- The hut is open for use from the beginning of June through to the end of September.
- Safety on hiking.
- There are waste bins at the day-use hut, but we ask that hikers bring their own litter out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
