Litter-Free Hetta-Pallas Hiking Trail
The Hetta-Pallas Hiking Trail is officially litter-free and all waste bins has been removed from the trail. Take your own trash out of the terrain to eco-points at the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre or Pallastunturi.

Facilities
A stove, a gas cooker, a dry toilet, a wood shed and basic cooking equipment; pot, frying pan, coffee pot.
Notices
Water can be taken from the spring but it is recommended to boil or filter it before use.
The peak seasons for this hut are Easter holidays and the autumns ruska season.
Pets are permitted in the hut, but only in case that other visitors agree with it.
Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.
When planning camping with a large group of over 10 people, fill in a notification for Metsähallitus (metsa.fi).
Waste Management
There are no waste management services at the hut. The goal of the National Park is to be a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Yllästunturi Visitor Centre Kellokas, Pallastunturi and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.

For Entrepreneurs
Tourist entrepreneurs operating in national parks or other areas managed by Metsähallitus need a cooperation agreement. A fee is charged for using the routes and service infrastructure for business activities.
