Pišternjargâ / Pisteri Open Wilderness Hut

Open wilderness hut for 8-10 persons.
Location
Northern Lapland Region, Municipality of Inari, Vätsäri Wilderness Area.
Inarijärvi Pisteri, coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 69° 11.0536' lon: 28° 16.3212' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 7675427 E: 550444.
The hut is located in the northern part of Lake Inarijärvi on the eastern shore of Cape Pisteriniemi.
The hut is in good condition and it is suitable for winter use. Renovated in the summer of 2000.
Facilities
- A wood-burning stove, a fireplace and a gas cooker.
- A jetty.
Notices
- Pets are permitted in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
- Make sure you pack a first-aid kit.
- Safety on hiking.
- There is a recycling point at the wilderness hut, but hikers are asked to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
