Litter-Free Hetta-Pallas Hiking Trail
The Hetta-Pallas Hiking Trail is now officially litter-free and all waste bins has been removed from the trail. Take your own trash out of the terrain to eco-points at the Fell Lapland Visitor Centre or Pallastunturi.

The wilderness hut is situated by the Hetta-Pallas Trail, 7 km from Hetta.

Facilities
Fireplace, a well, gas cooker, a dry toilet and a wood shed.
Please, do not wash dishes or yourself closer than 15 m to the well to avoid bacteria to get into the well. It is recommended to boil water from natural sources and from the well before consumption.
Notices
The peak seasons for the hut are Easter holidays and the autumn´s ruska season.
There is a service hut on the grounds, which houses a café during spring season.
Pets are not permitted in the hut.
Visitors must come prepared with warm clothing, food, drink, maps, compass, orienteering skills and matches. Fog or storms can form in just a few hours. Take also your own toilet paper.
When planning camping with a large group of over 10 people, fill in a notification for Metsähallitus (metsa.fi).
Waste Management
National Park is a litter-free area and hikers are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Recycling points can be found at Pallastunturi and Fell Lapland Visitor Centre. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.

For Entrepreneurs
Tourist entrepreneurs operating in national parks or other areas managed by Metsähallitus need a cooperation agreement. A fee is charged for using the routes and service infrastructure for business activities.
