The Siperia day-use hut is located on the southern side of the Vanttauskoski Rapids, on the north-western side of Kotikivalo. You can drive close to the hut along the forest road that bypasses Kotikivalo. Turn onto this road from the Rovaniemi–Kuusamo road (no. 81), from the southern side of the Vanttauskoski Rapids. Next to the hut, you can set off for a tree-species nature trail.

Formerly, the Siperia hut used to function as a base for researchers of the Finnish Forest Research Institute (Metla) in the Kivalo Research Area.

There is a spring close to the hut. It is recommended that you boil the water before drinking.

Pets are allowed in the hut, but only with the consent of the other users of the hut.
