Kuávžurjävri / Taimenjärvi Open Wilderness Hut

Open wilderness hut for 8 persons.
Location
Northern Lapland Region, Municipality of Inari, Hammastunturi Wilderness Area.
Taimenjärvi, coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 68° 33.0591' lon: 26° 21.5169' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 7604432 E: 473826.
The wilderness hut is situated at the south end of Lake Alimmainen Taimenjärvi (Kuovdsuarjavri), east of the River Taimenjoki. The lake in turn is located between the Kynsileikkaamapäät Fells and the Jomppavaarat Fells.
The hut is a log cabin and is suited for year-round use. It was built in 1973.
Facilities
A wood-burning oven and a gas stove.
Notices
- Pets are allowed in the hut, but only if other visitors consent to it.
- Safety on hiking.
- There are waste bins at the wilderness hut, but we ask hikers to bring their own litter out of the area. Read more about Hiking Without Littering.
